So ridiculous I could only laugh

My SPOILED ROTTEN baby Kia LOVES people food. When she was little she used to try to drink Mt. Dew (I caught her once and took it away) but it seems ever since then she's been a junk food addict. She can hear a box of Cheez-its being opened from two rooms away. And Lord have mercy on you if you eat anything with cheese on it without sharing some. And I admit I'm terrible when it comes to being strong and not sharing everything on my plate with her so she usually gets a few crumb size pieces of whatever I'm eating. Well 2 nights ago I made a peanut butter cake (and I shared with Kia) and I didn't cover it because I wanted the frosting to stiffen up. I work 10 hrs a day an hour away from my home and because of our upcoming remodel we are open until 9pm 3 days a week and until 5pm the days in between, so needless to say when you work 4 days in a row and don't get home until 10-10:30pm and have to be back up for work at 4:30am, taking care of the cake was the last thing on my mind. I came home today and while my boyfriend and I were sharing our days I asked him if he wanted any of the cake and stood to go get it and he says to me "oh that reminds me, your cat's an a**hole" I quickly came to realize why. She had WALKED ALL OVER THE CAKE! and licked the frosting off one whole corner. I was so shocked all I could do was laugh. I'm still laughing. She's never ever been so bold. According to my boyfriend after she walked all over the cake she then walked all over the counters and put tiny little Kia paw prints on the window in the Kitchen (she's part voyeur and likes to stretch up and press her belly to the window). He said it took him 10 mins to clean up after her. The moral of this story...Cover your Cake!

Bad Mommy.

My brother's cat, Piglet (appropriate name!) did that after my Mom's surprise party. My sister-in-law & I were in her kitchen cleaning up & she said "I'll give you guys the cake to take back to Mom's" & when she turned around, there stood Piggy in the middle of the cake just chowing down on frosting. My SIL said that the poor kitty was sick the next day, just slept all day with a hard belly. They almost decided to take her to the vet, but she "got better", shall we say. That cat used to eat everything from birthday cake to peanut butter to even lettuce.

My boy Samson doesn't like too much people food. I guess that's a good thing.

My Bit Kitty used to beg for french fries. However, they couldn't be just any french fries they had to be either mcd or bk fries. He would sit up and beg like a he'd been trained. We know better though, he had trained us.

My boy Grady loves chocolate chip granola bars ( I get the chocolate chips- whoopee!) He also loves Pringles ranch flavored chips. And he loves Hellman's mayonnaise. I put some on a plate and he goes to town. Actually Pearl likes Hellman's too. All I have to do is tell them they won't like whatever I'm eating, and that guarantees they will. I should have learned by now.

I remember when I was a little kid visiting my aunt's house for Christmas. They always had a bunch of cats and a dog or two. Well, Jayne pulled a homemade pizza out of the oven and set it on the table by an opened window to cool it down a little. Baby had claimed the window as "her spot", so she did what she always did, climb up a chair, jump onto the table and go straight to her window. You should have seen the look on her face when she landed in pizza! She did the Sticky-Paws dance from one end of the pizza to the other. All of us laughed so hard our sides hurt.

JR has learned that the sound of cereal hitting a bowl means he can stare you down into giving him the leftover milk. He is the only one of my 4 that likes it. Kuan Li prefers Sonic french fries, no ketchup please.

That's Kia. She can hear a box of Cheez-it's being opened from 2 rooms away. I have a friend whose cat will only eat lettuce. She's tried and tried to get her cat to eat cat food but she won't touch it. She'll eat tuna and She can get her to eat some wet cat food (if she puts it in with the lettuce of course) but not dry.

Just to add a note that one of my 3 will eat P-Nut Butter without toast; one will eat it only on toast, and one sits there wondering whazzzz up with the P-Nut butter fetish! All three of them love cheese, and my Lil Girl loves pizza and burritos (sans the Jalapenos). I never give them more than a few crumbs but Lil Girl can become insistant about dining on MY food. She will actually come up to my shoulders and reach around with her paw to my face to turn it until I extend a little bit of my food to her. She HAS to taste everything! She might not like it but she has to try it.

You just gotta love them! And BTW, they all eat dry food during the week and on weekends they get wet canned food, but NO fish for them in any shape or form. And no milk either! he he I can eat cereal with milk without being attacked!

^jj^ ;o))

I had another cat years ago at work named Ollie. He would eat the masa from around a tamale but leave the meat filling alone. We nicknamed him "Ollie Tamale". He also liked the sauce from a shrimp cocktail but wouldn't eat the shrimp.

Samson doesn't like a lot of people food, but does like peanut butter, cream cheese, carnitas & baby food turkey. But he won't eat any canned cat food, no Pounce treats or anything like that, and only one brand of dry cat food.

No, he's not spoiled. I'm well-trained.

My cat Coco will eat limited "people food" but his favorite item that I must share with him is chicken tekarrki sandwich-the meat only from subway. All I need to do is come in the door, he sees the bag and well, I can't hardly get the sandwich unwrapped- Like he's starving -I don't think so.

Miss Kitty has limited access to people food. When I give her a taste, its about the size of 1/2 of my little fingernail. But she loves yogurt...any flavor..she'll sit there and wait for me to finish so I can give her a little taste...same with ice cream, whipped cream, I've even given her a taste of chocolate pudding.

i had another cat who loved cherry koolaid with ice cubes in it.
my manx LOVED ice cream and yogurt. he'd grab the spoon out of your hand til you shared with him.
my aunt had a springer spaniel...( yeah, i know...a dog ) who stole the freshly roasted sunday roast to feed her puppies.
