So sorry to hear about Indy. He sure was a beautiful cat! Just remember that he's now a kitty angel, watching over you. :o)

Mark - just read the cat diary about Indy. I'm so sorry. I know nothing I say will help your kids and the wife (you too). However, I feel strongly about writing and adding my prayers for comfort as you all try to move on with out Indy. God speed.

I lost my sweet kitty in April. I still "see" her out of the corner of my eye when I'm doing something.... I empathize with your loss. Maybe our kitties are together over the Rainbow Bridge!

I know you all join me in grieving with Mark and his family for the loss of Indy. That little guy brought such joy to their lives and ours.

Mark, I'm sooo sorry to hear about Indy. Our kitties are precious to us and definitely leave a lasting print on your heart. I'm sure he'll find Chance and Sam on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of that beautiful boy. Please know that I'm praying for God's comforting grace for all of you. Your eulogy, Mark, was beautifully written. It actually made me think again about keeping my feline family members inside. My babies are 15 and 16, respectively, and I don't know how well they'd do outside at this point, but you've made me think perhaps I should give them the opportunity to try. They are the light of my life.

Hi Mark
Very sad to hear about Indy, I know how you feel, Casey, my older cat, was put down last Friday, I still look for her every day. But she had a good innings. Hope you all recover soon!

For Mark Mason and his family:
My heart goes out to you and especially to your son for the loss of a family member, Indy. We also lost a precious boy cat named Scooter to speeders along our farm road three years ago so I know how badly it hurts! I guess I thought he was smart enough not to run across in front of a vehicle. Now we celebrate the life of our old girl, Kricket, and hope she makes it to 20 or even more as long as she is healthy and feels good.
Our Kricket is now 18 ˝ years and holding. She seems to have some hearing loss but how can you tell with a cat who is used to ignoring whenever they choose? She was born in this house back in March of 1993 and has always been a house cat with privileges… that is she goes outdoors whenever she chose. We live out in the country here in Missouri so the “call of the wild” was always strong for her, her mother, and two of her brothers that we kept from the litter. We love our dear cats!

Dear Mark & family,
I just read your eulogy for Indy - how beautifully written and how deeply sad. I know when I lost my furgirl in '08 that this forum provided understanding that I rarely received elsewhere. It helped me to grieve well and heal well. I pray that you will receive our support as you all learn to live without your beloved boy. We'll miss hearing of his adventures. My Charlie sends purrs of comfort and affectionate head-butts.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family, Mark, and prayers that the happy memories of Indy will soon outweigh the rawness of loss.

I just got my Cat Diary email. So sorry to hear about Indy. It was a shock to see that he was gone. There are no words to express sorrow except that I've been there with my cats also. The Rainbow Bridge has seen a few of mine there.

I know it's something you don't get over. But I hope you're coping okay.

Oh Mark, and family, I was so, so saddened to hear of your loss of Indy. He was a beautiful cat. My heart stopped when I saw the black ribbon. I had just thought that perhaps Mars had gotten old and passed. I was so shocked to hear about Indy. He was a beautiful Snowshoe, just like my Coco Puff. I hope your family can eventually remember all the good times, and the sadness will fade with time. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Indy. I have been owned by cats for almost all of my 73 years and can think of nothing more painful than losing a faithful companion---we can only console ourselves by knowing that we gave them the best lives possible and hoping to meet them again at the Rainbow Bridge.
